You shall love the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 6:5) by living and learning Jewishly.
V’ahavta et Adonai Elohecha,
וְאָהַבְתָּ אֵת יְהוְה אֱלֹהֶיךָ
Love thy neighbor as thyself” (Leviticus 19:18)
V’ahavta l’raacha kamocha,
וְאָהַבְתָּ לְרֵעֲךָ כָּמוֹךָ
As Rabbi Akiva proclaims, “This is a major principle of the Torah. Our chavurah works to build camaraderie and fellowship through our services, social activities, holiday celebrations, and more. A healthy Jewish people is one big, caring family where each individual loves the other like his or her own self. Love for those closest to home nurtures a love for the extended family of humanity.

Jonathan Ginsburg is the first Rabbi I’ve known who can reach all congregants regardless of their Jewish background and education. He is simply the best teacher. He explains prayers, services, and holidays augmented by his delightful personal anecdotes. Above all, Jonathan is approachable, warm, and welcoming. He is generous whether hosting an event in his home or sharing his knowledge and ideas. He is a true mensch and I am grateful to have him in my life.
